How to play

One plate a day. Someone taped over the state name on a US license plate. Guess the state.
Six tries. You start zoomed in on a detail. Every wrong guess zooms out a little.
Each guess shows the distance and direction to the right state, and colours the map: the warmer, the closer.
Slogans, colours and pictures are all clues. When the round ends, the tape comes off.

Every plate is a real photo, from current designs to ones you may still spot on old cars.
